The Singapore Land Authority(SLA), is organising and Art Competition and it is open to all students. The theme of the Art Competition is "State Properties: Our Heritage, A New Life".

I encourage all of you to participate this Art Competition as competition not is all about winning, but a mode for you to gain exposure as well as experience. At the same time you will also be able to build up your personal portfolio as well as your confidence.

Art studio in a former fire station, kindergarten in a army camp, museum in a historical royal dwelling? All these are made possible with the innovative use of State properties. These versatile buildings receive a fresh lease of life as a new lifestyle or education establishment through creative transformation. By thinking out of the box, innovative businessmen have successfully turned brick-and-mortar State buildings into a bustling setting for work and play while retaining their unique architectural details.
Participate in SLA Art Competition 2009 and marvel at the beauty of State properties and appreciate their successful transformation.The theme of the competition is "State Properties: Our Heritage, A New Life." Submit a painting of the charming façade or drawing of the stunning design of our transformed State properties. Use your artistic expressions and innovative perspectives to depict them into a winning art work!
